Brent grew up in Thibodaux, LA. After graduating from Thibodaux High School, he attended Nicholls State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he joined Norwest Financial, now Wells Fargo as a consumer finance manager and was later promoted to Branch Manager of the Thibodaux location. After 6 years with Norwest, he took a job with Billy Navarre Auto Group in Lake Charles, LA as a financial/business manager. In June 1998 he moved back to Thibodaux and opened American South. For the last 10 years Brent has been living in Austin while maintaining his role within American South as President. He has been married for 25 years to Chantell and has 2 children, Eric, 24, an Ole Miss graduate and current Loan Originator at American South, and Leigh 21, attending LSU.
